Almost a year on and Covid is still around and if you are not infected you are affected in some way. We have received word and read that the African Union has secured vaccines of which Zambia has been allocated 8.7 million doses. In the meantime, I continue to take vitamins and supplements with a few Doctor recommendations on keeping the virus at bay, but the usual advise still remains mask up, sanitise, wash your hands and social distance.
Please consult medical advise and note that this is just what I’m taking not sure if it works or not but I feel better for taking a little something to boost my immune system with the way things stand right now.
Natural Boost
Still taking the tangy morning shot most mornings which consists of water, turmeric, lemon and ginger boiled together and kept in a bottle in the fridge, which I then drink cold or heated as a tea. Depending on the day I do enjoy some green tea before lunch time or afterwards.

Antiseptic Mouthwash
This is basically an antiseptic mouthwash as the packaging states that you gargle which helps cleanse out and bacteria, viruses, fungi etc. Only used if and when I have been outdoors even though I wear a mask as it is mandatory when you are out and about. I gargle when I get back indoors to kill anything lingering in my mouth.

Relief
Use the relax oil treatment to help with muscle aches because I sit on a computer all day for work and then the vicks vapo rub using the old fashioned way to unblock my nasal passage, by adding a small amount to very hot water in a bucket then cover my face with a towel to steam and inhale for the longest two minutes ever. Done once a week before bed have also used about 3 drops of eucalyptus oil in the past which also works fro close your eyes when you steam otherwise.

Supplements
Zincovit is a multivitamin and multimineral supplement that contains Magnesium, Zinc, Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D3, folic acid but to name a few and useful in treating and preventing, vitamin and mineral deficiencies which improves immunity. It does have sulphates which I do not react well to so taking a tablet weekly as opposed to daily.
Cod liver oil contains omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and D which is a good daily supplement intake to help boost the immune system and helps with my iron deficiency.

Vitamins
This is a good one for me because I can’t have oranges due to the fact that they too acidic but the Vitamin C orange flavoured tablets either the chewable ones or the effervescent one that fizzes and dissolves in water are fine for me and usually sip on that throughout the day.

Fruit & Vegetables
Obviously fruit and vegetables are on the list because they help your body as well and are part of your 5 a day that you need to take.
