If you enjoy the great outdoors and walking I would recommend the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden in Pamplemousses located in the north west of Mauritius. You have the option of a hiring a guide for a small fee to walk you through all the different exotic plant types and the unassuming plants that turn out to be spices for instance. The water lilies proved to be quite an attraction and it was easy to see why, not bad for the oldest botanical garden in the southern hemisphere.

After that excitement, we made a stop at L’Aventure du Sucre to grab a light lunch, a cold drink and just walk around to see the place. There is a museum, a restaurant and a train where you get a quick bite if you just fancy sitting on the wooden benches in the surrounding gardens

Great post 🙂
