When you get that wedding invitation, what do you wear? I’m sure not everyone has this problem other than the one major rule of no white obviously, unless it is specified there’s lots of freedom when it comes to putting your look together.

One thing you can count on in Zambia is that the weather forecast will be good even in the rainy season there’s bound to be hot days. The dress had to be something I was comfortable in, that was the right fit and that I could dance in. My final option came quick via courier and was an off the shoulder dress from ASOS with black chunky heels to elevate my style and of course the all-important statement necklace from H&M for a little sparkle.

The venue was Lilayi lodge which is set on a private game reserve and is home to the elephant orphanage which I spoke about in a previous blog. It was a wonderful backdrop with the green of the grounds and all the stunning flower arrangements which all worked very well together. All in all, a beautiful day with lots of laughs, dancing, drinking, eating, an epic union celebration, beautiful sunset and spotted some zebras grazing in the distance.
