Whether you’re a seasoned camper or someone who prefers a bit more luxury, glamping offers a good balance of adventure and comfort. Trust me, a night in one of these charming pods is an experience you won’t soon forget. There’s something magical about spending a night under the stars with wifi, and when you combine that with the cozy charm of a glamping pod, the experience becomes downright enchanting. The stay at High Whashton Springs, nestled in the heart of Yorkshire was a perfect blend of nature’s tranquility and modern comfort with a beautiful farm backdrop. On arrival the first thing that struck me was the peacefulness of the Yorkshire countryside. Rolling hills stretched as far as the eye could see, with a patchwork of greens that seemed to soothe the soul instantly.

The pod itself has everything one needs and is a charming little wooden cocoon tucked away in a corner of this idyllic landscape. With its curved roof and warm wooden exterior, it looked like something out of a storybook. Stepping inside, we were greeted by a space that was small but perfectly formed in a way. Furnished tastefully with all the essentials and necessities: a plush bed, soft lighting, and enough space to move around without feeling cramped. The bed was inviting enough to make you want to crawl in immediately, while the little thoughtful touches like snacks and most importantly teabags and milk added a layer of homeliness that made it feel more like a boutique hotel than a simple glamping pod. After settling in, spent the evening enjoying the simple pleasures of glamping life by preparing a light dinner using the kitchenette’s facilities, there’s something so satisfying about cooking in a small, well-equipped space. As the sun began to set, I stepped outside to enjoy the meal on the small deck area.

When it was time to retreat inside, the pod became a little haven. The temperature had dipped, but the pod was well-insulated and equipped with a heater. The silence was profound, interrupted only by the occasional hoot of an owl or rustle of leaves from the wind and at some point rain outside.
Woke to the gentle light of dawn filtering through the pod’s small window and the sound of birds chirping nearby. There’s nothing quite like waking up in the countryside, where the day begins slowly, and the world feels calm and unhurried. After a quick breakfast, took one last walk around savouring the fresh morning air and the sense of peace that this little escape had provided and packed up ready for the next location.
