A hidden gem that is tucked away somewhere in Lusaka is Sakae Paradise Resort, offering an interesting blend of nature and tranquility in the city. Located just far enough from the city bustle yet close enough for a convenient getaway, redefining the concept of a staycation where nature literally takes the centre stage. From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed by expansive lush gardens, forested surroundings with a water feature, and the soothing quiet that feels worlds away from urban life until a naughty warthog starts grazing near you, snapping you back quickly to reality.

The resort is known for its natural setting where animals such as warthogs, antelope, giraffes and zebras roam freely giving a subtle safari like experience which is part of the charm.

Definitely had an interesting encounter with one of the trotting warthogs, with his tail up as it kept snorting at me as I was in its space. Then eyeing the picnic basket with far too much interest I thought. The cherry on top was seeing all the animals assemble for feeding time which gave us an up close and personal view of them all in their natural habitat.

Whether you’re looking to disconnect, celebrate a special moment, or simply enjoy lush surroundings from a different perspective, this place is for you.
