An Unforgettable Japanese Meal at Musubi

When you think of Japanese cuisine, you think of okonomiyaki, gyoza, sushi, ramen, and tempura, often come to mind well for me anyway. When the latest Japanese offering popped up in town called Musubi, it was time to explore something a little different but all so familiar. Firstly because there are not many Japanese restaurants in town then secondly, this place has caused such a buzz on social media in the short time it’s been around.

The meal unfolded with a variety of dishes, from start to finish each as satisfying as the last. For me the star of the show was the tofu the combination of textures won. It was presented resting in a warm broth, yet crispy on top. So light on the inside it felt like what eating a fluffy cloud would be like.

The whole meal was completed with a soya bean and macha dessert, which was the perfect end to a perfectly balanced meal. If you haven’t yet ventured forth, let this be your sign. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that leaves you satisfied, comforted, and dreaming of your next bite.
