Battle of the Taste Buds: A Feisty Fiesta at Cantina

on

They say third time is a charm and it was at this Mexican gem called Cantina, which made me forget about the previous visits. What a flavour rollercoaster it was for sure and left me satisfied and wanting to make another visit for sure. As you enter it is a cute setting with open indoor and mainly outdoor seating. As we settled into our seats, ordered drinks then the food came through we were greeted by an array of sauces that looked innocent enough. Little did we know, these were about to wage war on our taste buds if we put too much!

Next up we went straight for the mains, the nachos and tacos were ordered with fries on the side just in case. These handheld delights were like tiny flavourful grenades that exploded with each bite and what a delightful party it was in the mouth. With fillings ranging from succulent pork to beef to zesty crayfish, they had us grappling for napkins and reaching for more. The crunch of the tortilla was like a battle cry, and we all agreed that our taste buds were in for a wild ride that we were all for.

With our appetites roaring for the final act, we embarked on the grand finale: dessert! The churros arrived, warm and crispy, coated in cinnamon sugar with a chocolate sauce which was delightful and a good end to a wonderful and flavourful meal. The feisty lunchtime fiesta had transformed us into flavour warriors, just how we enjoy our food. Word to the wise, mind the angry fries you if are not into spicy food.
