More Than Ordinary Brunch at Mint Agora

Wanting a different kind of brunch we stepped into the latest swanky offering from the Mint Brand, Mint Agora located a Agora Village off Thabo Mbeki Road in Lusaka. This place is not just a cool instagrammable restaurant, it’s lovely hangout spot with an exploration of flavours, a journey through a menu that defies convention offering a different take from the usual offerings out there and is a very much a welcome change. From a crunchy delight of coconut eggs with roasted chickpeas and hummus to a breakfast burrito that will make your taste buds dance, Mint Agora is a dining adventure waiting to unfold.

Kicked off brunch with a dish that redefines breakfast norms – Coconut Eggs which I didn’t think would ever work, I mean coconut and eggs not a combination but it does. The richness of runny eggs sprinkled with desiccated coconut, elevated by a hummus, paired with crispy roasted chickpeas, made it a unique twist and a crunchy delight, which I thought was delightful play on textures. Then the breakfast burrito stuffed with scrambled eggs, avocado, kidney beans, tomatoes and onions, which was quite filling.

Washed down the food with a hot drink that’s as vibrant as it is wholesome, a Turmeric Latte, each layer was a delightful sip until you get to the bottom of this golden elixir blending the earthy warmth of turmeric with the creaminess of steamed almond milk. It’s not just a drink; it’s a layer of wellness ritual in a cup. Ended the meal with a slice of oreo cake.

Granted I have only been there once hopefully won’t be my last, but I like that Mint Agora challenges the norms of not just brunch but food selection in general compared to many other places. So, if you’re looking for a chilling spot, gather your brunch squad to go and give this place try.
