If you’re in the mood for a laid back colourful backdrop experience that’s anything but ordinary, let me introduce you to Scallywags. Located in Lusaka on Nangwenya Road describes itself as a cafe, restaurant, smoothie bar and a shisha haven. First time going there walked in and sat right next to the fan because the summer heat is heating and not playing games. I like the fact that they celebrate pops of colourful artworks and creativity which is nice and enough to let you forget about what’s going on elsewhere.

The menu is a melange of delectable delight, whether you’re craving a hearty burger, wrap, a vibrant salad, or a smoothie, you’ll find generous portions that satisfy both your appetite and your pocket. Ordered pizza and a chicken wrap which was a good size that I only managed to eat half of, all in all the food is alright. The music selection adds an extra layer of charm. The playlist at Scallywags is curated to be the soundtrack to your dining adventure, it is chilled, mellow, and the perfect companion to your meal and conversations.
